Last Updated: 3 September 2026

PromptShelf respects the creative work, privacy, and rights of creators, photographers, artists, and other individuals.

PromptShelf allows creators to share AI photography prompts and creative results with our community. Because content may be shared by different people, we have a process for handling concerns about copyright, privacy, names, photographs, likenesses, and other rights.

This policy explains how to report content published on PromptShelf and how we may respond to those reports.

1. What You Can Report

You may contact us if you believe content published on PromptShelf:

  • Infringes your copyright.
  • Uses your photograph without appropriate permission.
  • Uses your name or likeness inappropriately.
  • Contains your personal or private information without authorization.
  • Violates your trademark or other intellectual-property rights.

  • Violates your privacy or other legal rights.
  • Contains content that should not have been publicly published.

This policy applies to prompts, photographs, reference images, generated result images, creator information, and other material published on PromptShelf.

2. Copyright Complaints

If you believe that a PromptShelf page contains your copyrighted work without permission, please contact us as soon as possible.

A useful copyright report should include enough information for us to understand the claim and locate the material.

Please provide:

  • Your full name.
  • Your contact email address.
  • The URL of the PromptShelf page containing the material.
  • A description of the copyrighted work you believe has been used.
  • An explanation of why you believe you own or control the relevant rights.
  • Information showing where or how the original work can be identified, where available.
  • A statement that the information you provide is accurate to the best of your knowledge.
  • Any other information that may help us investigate the complaint.

We may request additional information or documentation when reasonably necessary.

3. Photograph, Name, or Likeness Complaints

You may also contact us if you believe PromptShelf has published your:

  • Photograph.
  • Name.
  • Likeness.
  • Personal information.
  • Private information.

without appropriate permission or authorization.

Please provide:

  • Your name and contact information.
  • The URL of the PromptShelf page.
  • A description of the photograph, name, or information involved.
  • An explanation of your concern.
  • Any information that helps us verify the request.

We may ask for additional information where necessary to determine whether the content should remain published.

4. Complaints About Someone Else’s Submission

PromptShelf may receive submissions from creators who represent that they have the necessary rights and permissions to share their work.

If someone submits another person’s photograph, name, likeness, prompt, or other material without the necessary authorization, the affected person or rights holder can report it to us.

We may review:

  • The original submission.
  • Information provided by the submitter.
  • The complaint.
  • Available evidence.
  • The circumstances surrounding the content.

Where appropriate, we may contact the submitter for clarification or supporting information.

5. What Happens After a Report

When we receive a complaint, we may:

  1. Review the reported content.
  2. Verify that the relevant PromptShelf page can be identified.
  3. Review the information and evidence provided.
  4. Contact the submitter or relevant parties where appropriate.
  5. Temporarily restrict or remove the content while the matter is reviewed.
  6. Restore the content if the complaint is not supported.
  7. Permanently remove or modify the content where appropriate.
  8. Take additional action where necessary to protect PromptShelf or affected individuals.

Submitting a complaint does not automatically guarantee removal.

We assess reports individually and may request additional information before making a decision.

6. Temporary Removal

In some circumstances, PromptShelf may temporarily remove or restrict access to reported material while a complaint is being investigated.

We may do this when there is a reasonable concern involving:

  • Copyright infringement.
  • Privacy.
  • Personal information.
  • Unauthorized use of a person’s photograph or likeness.
  • Safety.
  • Other potentially unlawful or harmful content.

Temporary removal does not necessarily mean that we have determined that infringement or wrongdoing occurred.

7. Counter-Information From Submitters

If content is removed or restricted because of a complaint, PromptShelf may contact the person who submitted the content.

The submitter may be asked to provide information showing that they have the necessary:

  • Rights.
  • Permission.
  • Consent.
  • Authorization.
  • Other lawful basis for sharing the material.

PromptShelf may consider the information provided before deciding whether content should remain removed, be restored, or require further action.

8. Privacy and Personal Information

If your complaint concerns personal information, please avoid sending us unnecessary sensitive personal information.

Only provide information reasonably necessary for us to identify and evaluate your complaint.

Information you provide to us in connection with a complaint may be used to investigate and respond to the issue and may be retained where reasonably necessary for legal, security, dispute-resolution, or record-keeping purposes.

Our general handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.

9. Bad-Faith or False Reports

Please do not submit knowingly false, misleading, fraudulent, or abusive complaints.

A person who knowingly provides false information may make it more difficult for legitimate complaints to be addressed efficiently.

PromptShelf may take appropriate action regarding repeated or abusive reporting.

10. Removal Does Not Guarantee Complete Erasure

When PromptShelf removes content, we will take reasonable steps to remove it from the relevant PromptShelf page and applicable areas under our control.

However, removal from PromptShelf does not guarantee that copies have disappeared from:

  • Search-engine indexes.
  • Browser caches.
  • Internet archives.
  • Social-media posts.
  • Screenshots.
  • Other websites.
  • Third-party systems.

PromptShelf does not control copies maintained or distributed by third parties.

11. Repeat Infringement or Rights Violations

If a person repeatedly submits content that results in legitimate copyright, privacy, or other rights complaints, PromptShelf may take additional action.

This may include:

  • Rejecting future submissions.
  • Restricting submission privileges.
  • Removing previously published submissions.
  • Restricting access to certain features.
  • Taking other reasonable measures to protect PromptShelf and its community.

12. Creator Responsibility

Creators who share work with PromptShelf are responsible for ensuring that they have the necessary rights, permissions, consents, and authorizations to share their submissions.

This includes responsibility for material involving:

  • Photographs.
  • People.
  • Names.
  • Likenesses.
  • Prompts.
  • Reference images.
  • Generated result images.
  • Third-party creative material.

More information about creator responsibilities can be found in our User Submission & Community Guidelines and Terms and Conditions.

13. Good-Faith Review

PromptShelf aims to handle legitimate complaints fairly and in good faith.

We may consider the information available to us at the time of review and may take reasonable steps to resolve a reported issue.

PromptShelf is not a court or legal authority, and a content decision made by PromptShelf does not constitute a legal determination of ownership or infringement.

Nothing in this policy prevents a rights holder from pursuing remedies available under applicable law.
